How much does the tournament cost?
Registration fees are $825 per team. $200 is due when you register. The remaining $625 is due prior to the tournament.
I registered my team. Now what should I do?
Please pay the team deposit by clicking the “Pay Now” link on the registration page. The team deposit is required to guarantee a spot for your team in the tournament. The remaining balance will be due prior to the tournament.
How many players can I bring?
There is not a limit on how many players you may bring. However, each team will receive 20 t-shirts for players and 2 t-shirts for coaches. If you want additional t-shirts, you may purchase them at the tournament.
How many games will my team play?
Each team will be scheduled 4 games. Teams making it to the Semi-Final and Finals may have extra games.
How many teams are playing in the tournament?
Each division (Boys Varsity, Boys JV, Girls Varsity, Girls JV) will have 16 teams.
What is the format of the tournament?
The Tournament consists of 16 teams divided into 4 pools of 4 teams. Each team will play 3 games in pool play, and at least 1 game against a team from a different pool. Top teams in each pool will play in a championship style single elimination tournament to determine the winner.
How long are the games?
Each game consists of two 22 minute running half’s with 5 minutes of half time. All games will start and stop at the same timed controlled by a central horn.
What if the game ends in a tie?
The team who scores first wins the tie breaker in the event of a tie.
What is there to do between games?
The Gathering of the Tribes Lacrosse Tournament is more than just a tournament, it is an event. Check out the clinics, trick shot competitions, and speed shot competitions on the demo field. Watch a College team scrimmage. Check out the vendor village for food, appeal, and other vendors. Check out all the latest lacrosse gear and appeal at the Tribal West tent. Hang out and dance to the music with the DJ’s of one of the popular radio stations. There will be plenty to do.
